About Stephen
Stephen Irish is a teaching professional at Valley Golf Center in Avondale, where he has coached since 2021. He believes instruction must account for each golfer's size, flexibility, and abilities, then develops rhythm, tempo, sequencing, grip, stance, posture, and short-game skill around that individual. Stephen has played for more than 45 years, competed in three Arizona high-school state tournaments, earned 1991 second-team All-American recognition at Glendale Community College and 1994 first-team all-conference honors at Southern Illinois University, competed on the PGA Tour of Canada in 1998 and 1999, and served as Director of Instruction at Palm Valley Golf Club from 2000 to 2002.
