Privacy Policy
Your information should have a clear purpose.
This policy explains what Phoenix Golf Coaches collects, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.
Effective and last updated: August 16, 2026
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Phoenix Golf Coaches website, directory, accounts, matching tools, coach claims, saved coaches, lesson inquiries, and related support communications. It does not govern a coach’s independent website, booking service, facility, or business.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
- Account information such as name, email address, and authentication records.
- Optional phone numbers and information submitted in lesson inquiries.
- Quiz responses, saved coaches, comparisons, and general preferences.
- Coach profile, claim, credential, facility, pricing, and verification information.
- Reviews, ratings, evidence, support requests, and moderation records.
- Technical information such as browser type, device information, IP-derived security signals, pages viewed, and diagnostic events.
Some anonymous preferences may be stored locally in your browser. We do not ask you to include sensitive personal information in free-text inquiry, review, or support fields.
3. How we use information
- Operate accounts and restore authenticated sessions.
- Provide directory search, matching, saving, and comparison features.
- Send lesson inquiries to the selected coach and related confirmations.
- Review coach claims, listing updates, evidence, and reviews.
- Protect the service from spam, fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Respond to support, correction, privacy, and safety requests.
- Understand product performance using analytics that should not include inquiry messages, email addresses, or phone numbers.
4. When information is shared
When you submit a lesson inquiry and consent to sharing it, the selected coach may receive the contact and lesson information you provided. We do not publicly display private coach delivery addresses or private claimant contact details.
We may use service providers for hosting, database services, authentication, file storage, email delivery, security, and analytics. They may process information only to provide those services. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information.
5. Public directory information
Published coach profiles are public and may appear in search engines. They can include approved professional information such as name, profile photo, facility, city, specialties, pricing, lesson formats, biography, credentials, and review summaries. Draft, rejected, suspended, and other unpublished profiles are not intended for public display.
6. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal or safety obligations. Retention periods may differ by record type. We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Optional product analytics
Product analytics are off unless you choose “Allow analytics” in the site’s analytics preferences. If allowed, we use PostHog to record page paths without query strings, general referral and campaign categories, and product actions such as directory use, profile selection, quiz progress, and inquiry-funnel milestones. Session replay, automatic click capture, surveys, experiments, and feature flags are disabled.
We do not intentionally send PostHog names, email addresses, phone numbers, inquiry messages, review text, form values, authentication tokens, cookies, precise home locations, or complete URLs containing query parameters. PostHog receives an anonymous identifier before sign-in and, after sign-in, may receive the account’s opaque user ID; it does not receive the account’s name or email as an identity property.
You can allow, decline, or withdraw analytics at any time with the “Analytics preferences” control. Withdrawing consent resets the analytics identity, removes locally stored analytics attribution, and revokes analytics context used for later milestones in an existing inquiry journey. Operational records needed to provide the service, such as a lesson inquiry you submit, remain in our database regardless of the analytics choice.
8. Your choices
You may update certain account or coach information through the available account tools. You may also request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by emailing phoenixgolfcoaches@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some information may be retained when required or permitted by law.
You can remove locally saved preferences by using the site’s removal controls or clearing browser storage. Browser and device settings may also limit cookies or similar storage, though some functions may stop working as expected.
9. Children’s privacy
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information should contact us.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above indicates the latest revision. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to phoenixgolfcoaches@gmail.com.
